This year’s theme and shirt is…ELF!

Our theme this year for the Old Town Christmas Festival is ELF! and our shirts are full of Christmas cheer. Sign up for the Old Town Rudolph Run by Nov. 12 at 5 pm to guarantee a shirt in our fun theme in your size. This race sells out every year, so sign up soon.

Awards & Costumes

Every year we love seeing your creative costumes and we think this year’s theme will take it over the top! Dress your best for the run and you could win the Best Dressed Runner award. (Both groups and individuals can win).


Every finisher will get a fun medal. The top Male and Female finisher in each of the following categories will receive an additional medal:

  • 0-12
  • 13-19
  • 20-35
  • 36-45
  • 46-55
  • 56-64
  • 65+

Old Town Christmas Festival

December 3, Old Town Leander comes alive to spread Christmas joy throughout the community. The Old Town Christmas Festival is a free event that includes the Old Town Rudolph Run 5K, parade, activities for the kids, local school performances and entertainment, artisan food trucks, local vendors, and more.

This week, June 26 through July 2, shop local in Leander and be rewarded for the things you purchase! We love our local businesses and want to show them and you!

This week, whenever you shop, save your receipt(s) and bring it by the Leander Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center for your chance to win great prizes! Receipts are due by Wednesday, July 6 at noon, but you can bring them by as soon as you finish shopping to get your raffle tickets!

Old Town Street Festival 2022

Kick off the summer festival season with the Leander Old Town Street Festival on June 4, 2022! From shopping to rides with live performances all day, you will find something for everyone in your crew to do. This fun wine festival also has a wine and craft beer competition with the competitors selling their sippable beverages all day!

As always, you don’t need tickets to attend this free event but downloading your free tickets helps plan for your visit! RSVP to let them know you are coming!

Mason Heritage Days – Adult Night

Leander Parks & Recreation invites the 18+ crowd to the Mason Homestead Friday evening, April 1st for food, games, and live music! And no, this is no April Fools’ joke! Bring the whole crowd and enjoy Leander trivia, a corn hole competition, food, and see the historic Mason Homestead. This event is free to attend.

You can sign up for the two-person cornhole competition on the Leander Parks & Rec website under the Special Events section. Teams are $50 to register but sign up soon as spaces are limited!

Mason Heritage Days

Come enjoy this FREE family event that has something everyone can enjoy! Take a step back in time at Leander’s Mason Homestead!

You can enjoy food and fun while learning about the fascinating history of the region. This year’s event partners with the Leander Historical Preservation Commission as well as the Williamson Museum to bring history to life. Many booths will have take home activities or hands-on experiences for participants of all ages!
